year of birth: 1975

birthplace: Milano (Italy)

current residence: Sesto San Giovanni

started in 2004

Where did it all begin?

It all started in Japan where I designed my first lamp during a studio residency in the Gifu prefecture.

What is the worst advice you’ve heard?

The worst advice was to change my style because it was too decorative. It happened early in my career and, as you can see, I didn’t follow it! (laughs)

Most beautiful moment during the creative process?

The free search for images, where I move between different topics simultaneously for a few hours. Then as if by magic, a new idea forms.

What doesn’t inspire you?

Dark colors and sharp or pointed objects.

What are you proud of?

I am proud and grateful to have turned a passion into a real job.

Favorite material?

I don’t have a favorite material, over the years I’ve worked with so many different materials. During this time I gained a lot of experience with glass.

What would you have done, if not this?

I would have been a gardener. I have a passion for flowers and plants.

When was your biggest moment of doubt?

Every day.

Who is your biggest supporter?

My parents were great supporters, now my husband is.

Favorite image?

A photo of endless hills. I grew up in the hills and this photo makes me feel good.

What is to you, the most beautiful sentence?

“Every day you can learn something new”
