Where did it all begin?
I’ve had a passion for colors ever since I was a child and used to carefully collect candy wrappers in my special box.
Perhaps that’s where it all started.
What is the worst advice you’ve heard?
I’ve been surrounded by good people who have never steered me wrong, or at least I don’t remember any bad advice.

Most beautiful moment during the creative process?
The moment the imagined plant comes to life and the painting becomes a living being.
What doesn’t inspire you?
Every element of this universe influences me in some way.
What are you proud of?
I’m proud of finding my own way.
Who would you like to meet or who would you like to work with?
I’m curious to meet people from the past. I’m particularly interested in meeting historical figures. I’d like to experience the old days of Japan when people wore kimonos and experience their lifestyles and philosophies.

Favorite material?
Japanese paper, watercolor, gouache, pen and ink.
What would you have done, if not this?
Perhaps I would have been a botanist or an interior designer.
When was your biggest moment of doubt?
I know that overthinking is pointless, but my biggest moments of doubt are when I spend too much time pondering the meaning and significance of life and question the purpose behind my current actions.

Who is your biggest supporter?
My family! My family is always there to support me and encourage me to be my best, and there’s nothing quite like seeing them happy.
Favorite image?
The volcano mountain view that has always warmed my heart.

What is to you, the most beautiful sentence?
“Art does not reproduce the visible, it makes things visible.” – Paul klee
What do you still want to do?
Travel all over the world.
